My Opinion About TokyoWhores:
I am a huge fan of all things Japanese - movies, architecture, rope bondage. The style of a metropolis like Tokyo and its whole sexual sub-culture completely fascinates me! So, when I saw even so much as the name Tokyo-Whores, my mind was spinning with images of class, discipline, and sexual abandonment. Reality, unfortunately, has trouble living up to my expectations.
Entering the members' area, I immediately feel disappointment. The design of this page is poor, and clearly outdated. It has the look and feel that any personal homemade site could have had ten years ago, with only text and some external banners and graphics. Still, I'm looking forward to all the promised content, and turn my attention to the page-top JavaScript menu.
The main place where photos can be found is under the "Bondage Only" heading. There, you can access 9 galleries, each of them containing around 10 or more sets of 50-60 assorted soft-core pictures of tied-up Asian babes. "Whores of Thailand", "Kinky Korean Girlz", and "Anime" are some of the other galleries that can be found under "All Asian Pictures". Some of those galleries can have up to 24 sets of 100+ photos each, while others have no more than 5 or 6 sets. It's difficult to tell, but I'd guess that, in total, there are about 15,000 .jpg files that can be downloaded one by one. Their sizes vary a lot, even within the same set, but most are between 600x500 and 900x650 pixels.
Photos can be more or less explicit, with sexy Asian girls all by themselves in various states of nakedness or engaged in steamy sex. However, there's also something they all have in common: a worn, outdated look. It's not as if the pics are bad quality - they're not. They're crisp and well lit, showing every detail. But they lack passion and originality. Nothing stands out. Each one looks like the next, and they all look like stock-photos from the early days of internet porn. They're updated once a month, but since there are no date stamps on any of the photo galleries, I can't say exactly how much new content is added each time.
"Exclusive Long Bondage Clips" is the main video area of Tokyo-Whores. The content is organised by date. From what I could gather, all the clips posted in a 6-month period are excerpts of the same DVD, so you can slowly follow a storyline of girls made captives and forced to fulfil their new masters' darkest desires.
Each month there are two new clips - the equivalent of 6 to 10 minutes - that have to be downloaded to be seen. Speaking of which, what's up with having single .wmv files available only in .zip format? Is the 2% compression rate worth the hassle of not being able to stream the movies? More disappointing than this is the terrible quality of the videos! They're only about 320x240 in size, blurry, and all the images of pussy and cock are pixelated out. The site explains this as a proof that these are real Japanese underground movies, but in fact, it only shows that they're neither underground, nor exclusive.
Additional content includes a few 1-minute sample clips of videos that can be found at JavNow movies, 110 full-length DVDs viewable as streams from 3rd-party providers, access to content from Fetish House, some erotic stories, and games. There's also a section dedicated to live Asian cam shows, but it's little more than a directory of live cam sites, without any privileged access for Tokyo-Whores.com members.
Final Verdict:
Tokyo-Whores promises a lot of content, and at least it delivers in quantity of photos. Quality, exclusivity, and originality on the other hand, don't seem to be this site's main attraction. It may cater to the desires of some people with a thing for Asian girls, but it doesn't have much to offer to true connoisseurs of the Japanese fetish subculture.
